iPad Incubation and Deployment Strategies: Two Campuses, Two Approaches

Tuesday, March 13 | 12:30PM–1:20PM | Ballroom D/E
Session Type: NC12
Institutions providing iPads to faculty and students need to determine which academic units will benefit from iPads and decide on appropriate security policies and device configuration. IT staff are challenged with deploying these devices in an efficient and user-friendly manner. Bowdoin College will share its approach for incubating iPads among on-campus faculty and how institutional support of iPads can be achieved with streamlined deployment, bulk app purchasing, and broad classroom and library support. Bay Path College will discuss its process of configuring and deploying iPads to online students through the use of a mobile device management server.
