Mobile Apps on the Cheap

Very often, Mobile app conversations get stuck on which platform to develop them for: iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry. We got past this roadblock by using the open-source jQuery mobile framework to deliver important and interesting content to our users. Student apps include grades and schedules, and faculty have access to class lists with pictures. The College Directory app includes pictures and autodial phone numbers. The Where's the Bus app shows the location of our college shuttles and the estimated time and distance from the mobile user. We'll show how easy it is to develop these apps and deploy them.
