CIOs in the Cloud: How to Become a Cloud-Ready Campus

CIOs and Internet2 leaders will share their experiences implementing cloud services, especially the Internet2 NET+ initiative. Internet2 members have worked with cloud vendors developing customized services, pricing, contracting, and implementation for the higher education community. This session allows those from a community college, liberal arts school, or large research institution to interact with CIOs.


OBJECTIVES: Get three applicable takeaways * Get a proven toolkit for going to the cloud: steps to prepare IT, legal, and procurement staff for moving to the cloud * Learn how to engage non-IT leaders in the benefits and positive impacts of moving to the cloud * Discuss and work with other campus participants involved in Internet2 NET+ during and after NERCOMP (over 330 campuses are participating in the program)
