Session Type: Professional Development
Using Computer Science students as developers isn't new, but having them work with your SQL databases sounds scary! Newbury College developed a process for these talented students to do real development without risks to data security or confidentiality. Using open source MYSQL on student laptops, students developed working code that was used to rapidly implement production systems. Capstone projects and work-study hours suddenly produced a flood of "free" deliverables and excellent experience for student learning and resumes.
