Wednesday, April 01 | 9:30AM–10:20AM | Room 552
Session Type: Professional Development
We'll highlight the evolution of our VMware VDI environment, from handling classroom podium systems to using persistent desktops to finally replacing our Autocad and ArcGIS labs with thin clients. We'll address the pros and cons of replacing traditional computers with thin client technologies and what design changes we've made over the years to keep pace with demand. We'll discuss what we would've done differently from the outset and next steps as we look to refresh some equipment handling this system.

OUTCOMES: Understand how virtual desktops have evolved * Learn how Nvidia's latest graphic cards can improve your customer's VDI experience * See how you can expand your services and increase reliability through virtual desktops
