Wednesday, March 23, 2016 | 12:00PM–12:50PM | Room 554
Session Type: Professional Development
The Accelerated Summer College (ASC) program at Saint Michael's College is a residential six-week, eight-credit experience that offers an innovative instructional model. With only three hours of face-to-face time per week, students work at their own pace through online e-learning content derived from major publishers, collaborating with organizations in the surrounding community and living in a residential environment that ensures academic success and completion. Please join us as we discuss the model, leadership challenges and opportunities, faculty development and course design models, and student perspectives on how this program supports personalized learning paths.

Outcomes: Explore a new strategic initiative that encourages a campus-wide conversation with faculty, staff, trustees, and other leadership * Examine faculty development initiatives to support timely pedagogical innovation * Explore the faculty perspective (Will your faculty consider blending/accelerating a course?)
