Creating the T-Shaped Professional: The IT Academy at Harvard

The IT Academy is Harvard's first-ever professional development program specifically designed for IT staff members and managers. It is a one-stop shop for acquiring relevant and transferable skills while building excellence in specific fields of expertise. The goal of the academy is to help IT staff across the university excel as broader, T-shaped professionals with the ability to collaborate and innovate across disciplines (the horizontal bar) and deep knowledge in at least one area of interest (the vertical bar). This session will cover the development and goals and provide an overview of the academy, highlighting one of its flagship courses, Service Mindset Foundations.
