Identifying an Identity Management Solution
Tuesday, March 22, 2016 | 9:30AM–10:20AM | Room 555
Session Type:
Professional Development
With a mature, although increasingly obsolete, identity management solution in place since 2009, Fairfield University began the search for a replacement system in May 2012. During our 14-month selection process, we learned to question our assumptions about the identity life cycle, to separate baseline requirements from selection criteria, to solicit meaningful information and demonstrations from vendors and, ultimately, to make a decision with confidence. In this session, we will walk through our selection process and highlight the pain points and lessons learned.
Outcomes: Successfully refine the scope of identity management * Articulate institutional requirements for such a solution
