Semi-Agile Support Management

Wednesday, March 23, 2016 | 2:30PM–3:10PM | West Prefunction Area
Session Type: Professional Development
While programmers tend to be familiar with agile programming and project development methods, other support staff can benefit from agile methods. But are agile organizing methods an all-or-nothing affair? We say no. In this poster session, we aim to demonstrate that kanban boards and modified scrums are enough to get and stay on top of ongoing support needs. We will show physical and digital versions and different organizing methods, as well as some approaches to a modified scrum (i.e., sitting rather than standing).

Outcome: Be able to adapt two lightweight agile organizational methods to your own local faculty support needs
