In this panel discussion, three experienced instructional designers will discuss current developments in the field of serious games/simulations as tools for learning and assessment. Serious games/sims is a multibillion-dollar industry that has the potential to a disruptive force in education at all levels. This panel discussion will address such issues as using games/sims for student performance data collection and assessment, customizing instruction with games/sims, and overcoming obstacles to integrating games/sims in the curriculum, as well the possible solutions to these implementation issues.
