Session Type: Professional Development
Technology accessibility is a complex topic affecting every department on campus. It is no longer an IT issue. Content producers are scattered throughout campus creating videos, web pages, Word documents, PDFs, and other content, often with no knowledge of best practices. How big is the problem? Where to start? Who should "own" accessibility? We faced many of these challenges four years ago at Boston College when we embarked on our accessibility initiative. Come learn how to assess the road ahead, raise awareness, get buy-in, secure funding, prioritize issues, and create a sustainable program on campus to support accessibility of digital content.
