This seminar will provide an overview of federal and state laws that govern information security and privacy. An information security governance framework, based on agency regulations and international standards, will be introduced as a model approach for ensuring institutional compliance. There will also be a hands-on workshop for the development of essential security and privacy policies and procedures for higher education environments.
