The Shifting Landscape Strategic Security Model

Tuesday, April 13 | 2:00PM–3:00PM | International F (6th floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
For several years, Salsa-CSI2 has been discussing the shifting landscape in higher education IT security and has recommended that our peers address this shift by refocusing on strategic planning. This talk will present a project to develop a new model for strategic security planning. The aim of the project is to make strategic security planning more accessible by identifying common IT security drivers in higher education and directly tying them to projects schools can implement to rationally, effectively, and efficiently address those drivers. For this presentation we will detail the current progress of the project and demonstrate our initial groundwork material.
