Do We Stand a Chance in the War Against Spear Phishers?

Tuesday, April 05, 2011 | 3:45PM–4:45PM | Travis CD/Third Level
Session Type: Professional Development
In this presentation we will discuss setting up an antiphishing education program that uses mock phishing exercises as the means of propagating educational materials to vulnerable targets. We will provide real numbers to substantiate what works and what doesn't. Some of the questions we will address include: How susceptible is a person "trained" through conventional mechanisms to thwart such attacks? How often should people be trained to ensure they're up to date on threats but not overburdened by training? What types of training materials have the maximum impact?
