Overview of the EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Information Security Guide; or, How to Get a Virtual Workforce for Free

Tuesday, April 05 | 11:45AM–12:45PM | Travis CD/Third Level
Session Type: Professional Development
The Higher Education Information Security Council created the Information Security Guide as a compendium of effective security practices, organized around ISO/IEC 27002. Many institutions seem to be struggling with the same security issues, looking for solutions to similar problems. There's no need to reinvent the wheel! This valuable tool allows you to leverage the experience of other higher education information security professionals. This session will review the guide and the many resources available to address security concerns for topics such as asset management, data protection, web development, and cloud computing. Bring your laptop and explore the guide with us.
