The iPhone, BlackBerry, Droid, and more—mobile Internet devices are extremely popular, including with faculty members, staff, and students. But are these devices secure? Do we have any idea who specifically has these devices? Do we know what potentially sensitive data they may have on their phones, or what applications they may be running? How should we be protecting these devices and these who use them? Come and explore the brave new world of mobile devices, their risks, and compensating controls. Topics covered will include technical issues, as well as policy and awareness-related areas.
