Every academic institution must develop security awareness programs not only to meet compliance standards but also to face the enormous challenges 21st-century threats pose to institutional assets and resources. Security awareness isn't a compelling topic, so finding ways to engage faculty, staff, and students and communicate clearly to both technical and nontechnical staff presents a unique challenge. We will discuss how we have achieved success with our security awareness program on a limited budget.
