Partnering for the Next-Generation University

This discussion and presentation will describe the opportunity for partnership between UW-Madison and its security partners to proactively address the university's adversaries in cyberspace. We will discuss a higher education–focused global community containing big data analytics with a model deployment of a preventative security platform that builds on current security controls (a mixture of Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and other cybersecurity anomaly detection and management applications). This approach allows UW-Madison to effect institution-wide operational changes that utilize a prevention-based strategy for the cyberbreach life cycle.
