Esports is a global phenomenon, with league finals drawing more millennial-age viewers than the World Series or Stanley Cup. In higher education, institutions have been building esports programs since 2014, with 185 institutions now competing at a national level for many different games. In this webinar, you will learn how other institutions have built their esports programs and seen a return on investment in the forms of student success and engagement, preparation for the workforce, national team recognition, recruitment, and more. Also, you’ll hear the results of research interviews with other successful esports programs in higher education, highlighting some of the common challenges they encountered and lessons they learned as they developed their programs.
