Webinar | Generative AI in Higher Education: Embracing AI’s Potential

Since November 2022, the introduction of OpenAI's ChatGPT has sparked a surge in AI adoption and interest within higher education. Tyton Partners has been closely monitoring the impact of this technology through student, faculty, and administrator surveys and through their work with companies developing and refining products using generative AI. These studies have revealed excitement, apprehension, and confusion among instructors, administrators, and students. As various stakeholders rapidly embrace AI tools, many unanswered questions remain going into the fall semester.

In this webinar, we’ll share research regarding the opportunities and risks of generative AI tools in education. The session will delve into how educators and institutions can responsibly leverage these tools and create institutional policies to enhance student learning while maintaining safe and responsible use.

At the conclusion of this session, attendees will:

  • Understand the current state of generative AI and its use cases in higher education from the perspective of instructors, administrators, and students.
  • Explore the ways that generative AI is being used to drive positive student outcomes.
  • Confront the challenges and risks associated with AI and consider policies and practices that minimize risk.
  • Take away actionable use cases, policies, and practices to ensure responsible and ethical adoption in classrooms and institutions.
