Welcome and Informing Decisions through Data Analytics

Tuesday, February 28 | 8:30AM–10:00AM | Regency Ballroom A/B, Lobby Level
Session Type: General Session
Developing data-driven decision-making capabilities is vital to the future prosperity of our respective institutions and higher education in general. Institutions are awash in data, but it's still challenging to find the information we need, reach agreement on data definitions, implement sound governance processes, and ultimately use data effectively to make critical decisions. Whether making more-informed decisions to improve operational efficiency, support student success initiatives, or improve our outreach and communication efforts, an outstanding data analytics program is key to our success. Where do various campus partnerships fit into the data governance picture? How can IT and business operations partner in a way that strategically uses analytics for institutional decision making? What are the most important building blocks of a data analytics program? How can analytics help us better understand how we apply limited resources? Please join the conversation as the panelists discuss each of these topics and more.
