Seminar 04P - Create Your IT Disaster Recovery Plan

The seminar will begin with brainstorming appropriate content for each section of the IT disaster recovery template. Each of the five group discussions will be followed by a writing exercise where participants will complete that section of their university's template.

Bring a laptop to this seminar in order to quickly customize the IT DR templates with information specific to your university during the writing exercises. A homework assignment distributed two weeks prior to the seminar will provide lists of contacts and information to collect for you to customize your university's plan. Any remaining time will be spent in discussions on crisis communications challenges and solutions, as well as actual incident communications successes and failures.
