Seminar 09P - Implementing Kuali Identity Management at Your Institution
Tuesday, October 12, 2010 | 2:00PM–5:30PM | Meeting Room 207D
Session Type:
E2010
Kuali Identity Management (KIM) is a module of the Kuali Rice framework that provides central identity and access management services. Implementing KIM is an essential part of any implementation of the other Kuali projects (such as the Kuali Financial System, Kuali Coeus, or Kuali Student) and can be part of a stand-alone Kuali Rice implementation. This workshop will present a technical overview of KIM and discuss the different institutional options for KIM implementation, as well as include case studies of what some institutions have done with their KIM implementations. Topics will include functional design, technical architecture, implementation issues and concerns, integration and operating options, modeling roles and permissions, and use cases and case studies from various institutions.
