Seminar 05A - Using Games to Effect Organizational Change: Approachable Project Management (separate registration required)

Tuesday, November 06, 2012 | 9:00AM–12:30PM | Mile High Ballroom 3B
Session Type: E12

In this seminar, management staff from the George Washington University will demonstrate, through a collaborative program, how utilizing an interactive game to introduce a project management process and related management training generates a unified approach to managing projects. Designed for management staff and others who are not full-time project managers, this session will feature highly interactive group activities including the Bridge Game, requirements gathering, and project planning (among others) to experience how we exposed finance and IT management staff to project management processes developed for GW and project management methodologies. The day's activities will culminate with a discussion of how the process employed can be improved and how you might be able to leverage the approach to increase project management awareness and expertise on your campus.
