Hosted by leadership advisory and executive search consultant Nick Dials (Russell Reynolds Associates), this panel of university CIOs, including Andrea Ballinger (Oregon State University) and Michael H. Hites, PhD (Southern Methodist University), explores the critical topic of developing the next generation of a diverse and innovative technology leadership in higher education. The session focuses on the opportunities and challenges sitting CIOs and university leaders face in attracting and retaining top tech talent and offers insights and strategies to cultivate diverse pipelines of CIO-ready leaders. While diversity at the top of university IT organizations has increased over the last decade, progress is slow, and this panel aims to empower women and leaders from underrepresented groups through an active dialogue focused on innovative leadership development strategies.
