Tracking Success in the Last Frontier: No-Code Solutions for Faculty and Graduate Student Data

Thursday, November 13, 2025 | 11:00AM–11:45AM ET
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Virtual Poster Session
This session will showcase how the University of Alaska Fairbanks transformed faculty and graduate student tracking systems using no-code tools, linking disparate processes across campus to streamline data collection, reporting, and workflows. By leveraging Airtable, we built integrated systems that support complex academic workflows while aligning with strategic goals like achieving R1 status. We'll highlight how our no-code approach overcame challenges in institutional culture, cross-departmental collaboration, and resource constraints, providing practical insights into building flexible, scalable tools that can evolve with user feedback. With visual walkthroughs of the systems and QR codes linking to demos, attendees will see how combining faculty workload and graduate school data can create powerful connections while simplifying administrative work. This session will offer valuable lessons for designing user-friendly, efficient systems that consolidate multiple workflows into a single platform, streamline collaboration, and simplify data management across departments.
