Housing and Attendee List Advisory

Maritz Global Events is the Official Housing and Registration Provider for the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference. Improper solicitation of hotel reservations from any company other than Maritz Global Events is not approved. Reservations made by unaffiliated organizations may appear to have lower rates, however they may be illegitimate, not have the rooms to sell, have unreasonable cancellation or change penalties, or be completely non-refundable. Please be aware of and report any unauthorized solicitation to EDUCAUSE and we encourage you to file a complaint with the FTC*.

Due to its popularity, the event is targeted each year by housing and registration poachers. Be sure to only work with the official show vendors, which include:

  • Housing and Registration: Maritz Global Events
  • Exhibitor Services: Freeman
Freeman is the general service contractor for all booth and audio/visual (A/V) services.

EDUCAUSE does not sell or condone the harvesting of our attendee lists for any purpose. If you or someone at your organization has already been contacted by any company other than the above and we haven’t already spoken, please take one of the following actions and do not respond to any other company claiming to represent the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference:

  • Forward the email you received to [email protected].
  • Email us the company name and contact information if you were contacted by phone.
  • Add the individual's email address or email domain to your company's blocklist to prevent further email communication.

*To file a fraud complaint with the FTC, complete these simple steps:

  • Go to the new Federal Trade Commission fraud report site: ReportFraud.ftc.gov
    Click on "Report Now"
  • For Question 1: "Is your report about any of these common problems?"
Select "An Impersonator" (top left answer)
  • For Question 2:  "Who were they pretending to be?"
    Select "Well-known or trusted business"
  • Click "Continue"
Add as much information as you have and submit.
