Managing institutional risk is no longer a static, once-a-year compliance exercise. In today’s rapidly shifting higher education landscape, a robust and dynamic risk register is essential for proactive decision-making. This session will explore how to transition from a manual "checkbox" approach to a living risk register that integrates with institutional strategy. We will share a case study on implementing a risk register that captures technical, operational, and strategic risks, and discuss how to socialize these risks with senior leadership to secure buy-in for mitigation efforts.
