Feedback Reimagined: Designing Intentional AI and Human Hybrid Strategies

Drawing on a 2025 meta-analysis of 41 studies involving 4,813 students and real classroom implementations, this session moves past the AI-or-human debate to explore how faculty can intentionally combine both in feedback workflows that leverage AI’s speed and consistency while preserving human expertise for context, mentorship, and judgment. Participants will examine three tested hybrid feedback models, hear directly from students about their experiences, and leave with a practical decision framework for designing or adapting a hybrid approach in their own courses.
