Large-enrollment undergraduate courses are a nation-wide challenge, and the need to create assessment-driven alternatives to current practice is an attendant concern most recently addressed in the Spellings Report. To improve student learning outcomes and increase efficiency, the Texas Legislature has mandated the redesign of up to 25 large-enrollment undergraduate courses over the next five years. This session on technology-enabled problems-based learning will provide an introduction to course redesign in Texas and in other states.
