UTHSCSA Virtual: An Avatar-Based Learning Environment for Health Science Education

This presentation will demonstrate how UTHSCSA Virtual, an innovative, avatar-based, online environment, facilitates a constructivist learning community in academic medical centers. Participants will see demonstrations of real-time shared desktops sessions between the presenter and a virtual librarian, a nutrition researcher, a textbook publisher, and a student.
