A sound risk assessment process is one of the building blocks of a maturing information security program. Join the IT Security Team from Texas State University as they reveal the process and procedures used to complete their annual information security campus-wide risk assessment. Texas State uses a four-pronged approach for assessing security risks in a decentralized environment; this session will highlight the tools and techniques used for each component. It will also address the successes and pitfalls they encountered on the ever-changing IT security risk assessment journey.
