Social and Mobile Media: Keys to Student Success and Retention

Student success and retention are key focus areas of the Student Academic Success Program (SASP) at Anne Arundel Community College. The program uses ConnectYard to leverage the latest social media and mobile technologies to securely extend communication beyond the classroom in order to increase student engagement and awareness. Details of the SASP program will be shared, along with the challenges the college faced communicating with students prior to implementing ConnectYard, a centralized social media communications platform that uses Facebook, Twitter, video, and text messaging to better engage students and expand overall institutional communication.
