The George Washington University has recognized the increasing need to tailor user education to a diverse and multi-generational audience. Millennial students who are transitioning from high school to the university environment demonstrate varying levels of expertise with technology. Among Millennial or Generation Y students, technology is a part of life and is integral for learning and networking. There was a need to provide a relevant and "leading edge" orientation experience for incoming students and families. The Division of Information Technology at GW began a new self-guided approach to technology orientation, improving communication and education of both students and their families.
