Experience IT: Using Twitter and Google+ to Control Your Social Media Stream

The Experience IT format offers a hands-on, highly interactive introduction to newer tools and technologies so you can explore their potential impact in the workplace and classroom and on your professional development. Please bring your laptop or other session-specific technology (such as smartphone or tablet) to the session so you can engage with the presenter. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Social media is everywhere and has become a vital part of our work lives, but sometimes the amount of information you receive feels like you are drinking from the proverbial fire hose. Come explore ways of controlling the flow of content that races across your screen through the use of Twitter and Google+. This session will help you get started with these tools and technologies and you will leave with some practical uses for both of them.
