Implementation of Interactive Whiteboards in Four Western Pennsylvania School Districts

Thursday, January 12 | 2:30PM–3:30PM | Harborside Ballroom Foyer
Session Type: Professional Development
Over the past five years, interactive whiteboards (IWBs) have been installed in an increasing number of K-12 classrooms in western Pennsylvania. The interactive whiteboard technology has the potential to expand traditional best practice in the classroom by increasing the engagement levels of the students in the learning process. Creative ways that administrators have used to support professional development of teachers who use IWBs will be examined. Teacher attitudes about using IWBs as a pedagogical tool and their perceived influence on teaching and learning will also be explored.
