Teaching and Learning with Internet2 Symposium: An Innovative Approach to Professional Development

Thursday, January 12 | 3:30PM–4:15PM | Harborside Ballroom D
Session Type: Professional Development
Advanced research and education networks, such as Internet2, offer faculty and students connectivity to diverse resources and collaborative partners around the world to enhance teaching, learning, and research. However, there is a disconnect between having physical connectivity to Internet2 and faculty using it to support learning. By combining interactive, real-time HD video, web streams, and social networks connecting speakers and participants from around the world, the Teaching and Learning with Internet2 Symposium bridges this gap. Presenters will discuss the technologies used, offer examples from the symposium, and advise participants on how to adopt these strategies for professional development at their institutions.
