Would you like to learn how to use Twitter and find out about hashtags, RTs (retweets), MTs (modified tweets), and DMs (direct messages)? Twitter has evolved from a place where people share what they are doing (do you really care if someone is vacuuming?) to a valuable information dissemination tool. Campuses are using Twitter to promote events and share late-breaking news; faculty are using Twitter to increase student engagement; others are using it for microblogging and communicating with their professional networks. This session will get you get up to speed with Twitter's basic functionality so you can explore its uses and benefits.
