Lynn University launched an iPad pilot initiative in October 2011 and introduced 16 faculty members to challenge-based learning (CBL). The intent was to engage faculty and students more fully in our Citizenship Project during January term courses, which are 2.5 weeks long. Faculty were able to create their own perimeters in 22 sections of the project, and small-student groups focused on real yet different problems across the various courses. The entire process was captured in images and video as a CBL to serve many purposes, including evidence of faculty development strategies, student learning outcomes, and community outreach.
