Thursday, May 31, 2012 | 9:30AM–10:15AM
Session Type:
Professional Development
As colleges and universities move toward the increased use of analytics, they're frequently hampered by their existing data systems and organizational structures. Though there are certainly a wide range of technical considerations, often the most critical barriers are organizational. Facilitating the sharing of data requires a collaborative effort across institutional units, an effort that includes attention to policy, user education, data request processes, and data documentation. In this session, we'll describe the steps our institution is taking to address these issues. We'll also share strategies and lessons learned.
