Session Type:
Professional Development
In 2011, UT Knoxville began restructuring its distance education program to better serve students and faculty. The first step in addressing the faculty's immediate needs during this transition was the Summer Teaching Institute 2011, a campus-wide collaborative undertaking. We'll identify best practices and lessons learned in collaborative support of departmental needs in technology-enhanced teaching. Participants will reflect on the impact that faculty development initiatives may have on departmental academic programs. We'll also outline additional avenues in strengthening campus-wide collaboration between faculty, information technology, and the library.
