Session Type: Professional Development
The "Experience IT" format offers a hands-on, highly interactive introduction to newer tools and technologies so you can explore their potential impact in the workplace and classroom and on your professional development. Please bring your laptop or other session-specific technology (such as smartphone or tablet) to the session so you can engage with the presenter. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

iPad and tablet computing is taking campuses by storm. They allow us to read textbooks, investigate course-specific and supplementary concepts, conduct research via library databases, and access lecture notes, content, and audio and video (through the web, servers, Blackboard, iTunes U, and more). This session will provide a snapshot of a truly innovative technology and will demonstrate the iPad and apps, discuss peripherals, and offer examples of their effective use across the campus.
