AI Security for Higher Ed: Attack, Defense, and Governance (separate registration is required)

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 | 8:00AM–4:00PM PT | California Ballroom D, Second Floor
Session Type: Preconference Workshop
Delivery Format: Additional Fee Program

Higher education institutions are rapidly deploying AI systems across admissions, advising, research support, and student services. But do their cybersecurity specialists have the right skills to test these systems for vulnerabilities before they get deployed?

This hands-on workshop equips campus security professionals with AI security skills while giving hiring managers, curriculum developers, training directors, and security leaders clear visibility into the capabilities their teams need. Participants will execute real attacks against large language models, implement defensive controls, and learn how to apply the NICE AI Security Competency Area (NF-COM-002) to map technical skills to workforce competencies.

Whether attending as a practitioner building defenses or as a leader evaluating team capabilities, you will leave with hands-on experience and a repeatable process for turning technical skills into documented workforce outcomes.
