Thursday, April 30, 2026 | 8:00AM–8:45AM PT | Pacific Ballroom B, Second Floor
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Facilitated Discussion
How do we move from mandates to mindsets in cybersecurity and privacy? This facilitated discussion invites participants to share strategies for reducing human risk and building a culture of shared responsibility in higher education. We’ll explore approaches for designing awareness campaigns that resonate with faculty and staff, integrate security by default and privacy by design principles, and foster engagement beyond compliance. Attendees will leave with actionable ideas and a post-session artifact summarizing the discussion—featuring a Top Tactics list, quick wins, and practical metrics—to support embedding security by default and privacy by design in everyday workflows.
