General Session | The Hotline Unplugged: Debating the Toughest Challenges in Higher Ed Security and Privacy

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 | 4:15PM–5:15PM PT | Pacific Ballroom CD, Second Floor
Session Type: General Session
Delivery Format: General Session

Every month, EDUCAUSE Review brings you Hotline, a column that tackles reader-submitted questions from across privacy and security, whether the challenges presented are cultural, technical, or purely a lack of resources. To open CPPC 2026, Hotline's author, Michael Corn, and a panel of experts will debate the most pressing issues facing higher education cybersecurity and privacy. We'll discuss some of Hotline's earlier questions and a selection of new questions submitted by you specifically for this event.

If you weren't satisfied with an earlier answer and want to follow up to get some alternative perspectives, this is your chance to let Mike know he's wet behind the ears. Please visit Hotline's anonymous submission form, and we look forward to hearing from you soon and seeing you at the Cybersecurity and Privacy Professionals Conference in April!
