The EDUCAUSE Cybersecurity and Privacy Managers Institute is for cybersecurity and privacy professionals with one to seven years of experience and empowers higher education professionals with critical skills for managing and leading cybersecurity and privacy projects, units, and people. The Institute provides a comprehensive view of the specific role of a manager in the cybersecurity and privacy field, and skills development in key areas including communication, project strategies, resource management, team performance, and leadership.

About Attending This Program
All EDUCAUSE Institutes are built around core themes from which you’ll learn more about diversity, equity, and inclusion; student success; and digital transformation.
This intensive, eight-week Institute engages participants in interactive live sessions, offers small, applied team projects designed to support networking and learning, and provides coaching with the faculty. We ask that participants actively plan the time they will spend on the Institute each week, even daily. Each competency below is delivered with diverse learning materials, resources, activities, and capstone projects in support of in-depth learning, immediate application, and networking.

Weekly Meetings
Once a week, we will hold a live, synchronous, online meeting to discuss resources, activities, and projects. These meetings will be a combination of short talks, discussions, and opportunities for questions. See the full meeting schedule on the Schedule page.
Learners are expected to dedicate approximately four to five hours per week (synchronous and asynchronous) for an engaged and successful learning experience.
Coaching and Mentoring Opportunities
You have the opportunity to receive coaching from the faculty during the Institute.
All EDUCAUSE members can receive mentoring from an experienced leader from the higher education community, or be a mentor themselves, via the EDUCAUSE Mentoring Program.
