Building strong relationships with peers and work partners is an extraordinarily important dimension of doing quality work that you are proud of and that produces good outcomes. Effective leaders work strategically throughout the institution to build and maintain social and business networks. You will gain a variety of strategies to manage all levels of relationships throughout the institution.


OBJECTIVES: Broaden your awareness of how professional relationships function * Consider how developing professional relationships is essential to any job and contributes to a sense of collegiality and satisfaction * Develop an understanding of the specific and context-determined interactions and relationships required of key campus constituents groups * Create a matrix of professional relationships that's critical to successful leadership
