Diversity and Inclusivity

Friday, July 01, 2016 | 10:00AM–10:45AM | Conference Room 301
Session Type: Professional Development
This short session will prompt us to think about the significance that heterogeneity can play in contributing to the productivity, creativity, and innovation in an organization. Research indicates that diverse and heterogeneous groups are twice as effective as homogeneous groups in problem solving. This session will help us think about ways to more deliberately foster inclusive organizational practices that build community.

OBJECTIVES: Apply the fundamentals of positive psychology and the StrengthsFinder framework to creating highly functional, productive, and enjoyable teams * Apply a framework based on four domains of leadership strength (executing, influencing, relationship building, and strategic thinking) to the creation of a diverse and well-rounded leadership team
