Spam is a major problem on and off campus. This presentation will address the size and nature of the spam problem and will describe several current and proposed solutions. AOL uses a variety of tools and technologies to deal with spam. While some of these approaches may be applicable to campus e-mail systems for incoming spam, others may have implications for the design of campus e-mail systems so that outgoing e-mail—especially e-mail being forwarded to alumni and others—won't be interpreted as spam originating from the campus. Join us for this important and timely discussion.
