EDUCAUSE Live! Webinar
Cooking Up a New Policy from Scratch

This presentation will introduce EDUCAUSE members to the Association of College and University Policy Administrators (ACUPA) and its resources for crafting policy documents for higher education institutions. It is becoming increasingly important to ensure that our institutional governance and policy libraries include up-to-date policies, standards, and guidelines in our rapidly advancing technology environment. New regulations seem to appear more frequently, requiring nimble, informed policies for consistent compliance. This webinar will walk participants through a scenario of creating a new social media policy and the process of benchmarking and developing the new policy, obtaining input and review, and publishing and maintaining the policy. These same resources also apply for the creation of new standards and guidelines. Finally, participants will be invited to join ACUPA with a special member discount.
